    is the managing partner of Rosen & Goyal, P.C., a boutique law firm in Andover specializing in business, healthcare and employment law across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. With a strong commitment to advocating for her clients, Kavita plays a pivotal role in navigating the complexities of legal disputes and empowering her clients to thrive in their respective fields while minimizing legal risks. As a litigator, Kavita represents small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and healthcare professionals in a variety of disputes. She effectively manages cases related to business law, including contract disputes, partnership disagreements, and corporate governance issues.   In the realm of employment law, she defends clients against claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, and harassment, and helps to ensure professionals receive fair treatment and protection under the law. Kavita’s expertise extends to matters before state and federal agencies in both MA and NH. She frequently appears before:

    • The Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and the NH Commission for Human Rights.
    • The MA and NH Licensing Boards, assisting healthcare professionals with licensing applications and disciplinary hearings.
    • The Attorney General’s Office, where she addresses compliance issues and defends against regulatory actions.
    • The Department of Labor, representing clients in wage disputes, employee classifications, and other labor-related issues.
    • The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Administrative Law Appeals (“DALA”)
    • The Department of Unemployment Assistance (MA) and the Employment Security (NH), helping clients navigate unemployment claims and appeals.

     In addition to litigation, Kavita dedicates a significant portion of her practice to providing strategic advice and counseling to small businesses and professionals, particularly in the healthcare sector. She assists with:

    • Drafting employee handbooks, separation agreements, helping employers and employees navigate the complexities of workplace issues.
    • Addressing and navigating workplace discrimination claims, including advising on employee accommodation requests
    • Employment agreements, ensuring that contracts are fair, compliant with state and federal laws, and tailored to meet the specific needs of her clients.
    • Healthcare licensing issues, guiding clients through the intricacies of obtaining and maintaining licenses to operate within the regulations.

    Kavita also excels in problem-solving and navigating ongoing workplace issues. Her approach includes: 

    • Advising on reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities, ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and state laws.
    • Conducting wage and hour practices audits to help businesses avoid common pitfalls related to overtime pay and employee classifications.
    • Assisting with internal investigations into workplace complaints, ensuring that organizations handle allegations of misconduct or discrimination effectively and sensitively.
